Job Duties
Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic studies. Performs and assists with Nuclear Medicine procedures following approved protocols. Is responsible for patient safety protocols. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements. Participates in CQI activities.
Job Qualifications:
Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registry eligible. Licensed by the State of Kentucky to operate radiation-producing equipment. Supervised by or certified as KY Certified Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). Current BLS certification. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. One-year experience under a Board-Certified Radiologist preferred.

Works with insurance companies to perform billing, review, and verification of accounts in accordance with program provisions. Submits claims to insurance companies and follows up with insurance companies on claim denials and underpayments to seek resolution.
Job Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent. Thorough understanding of HMO’s, PPO’s, private insurance companies preferred. Basic computer knowledge, data entry skills. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
