Performs duties essentially of personal care, which might be given to convalescent, chronically ill or disabled persons in their homes. Attempts in every possible way, in working with individuals and families, to assist them to assume responsibilities toward self-care. Responsible for keeping the home clean and safe for convalescent, chronically ill, disabled persons and family members. Helps the well family members to carry their share of the responsibilities and encourages the disabled member to participate in the life of the family, in so far as he/she is able.

Provides dispatching services, working with computers, radios, and telephone services. Responsible for answering emergency phone calls getting correct information and directions to the location of the sick or injured. The Dispatcher will determine whether this is a matter of the EMS, Police and/or Fire Departments and follow appropriate procedures. In addition, the Dispatcher is responsible for answering calls to the Medical Associates answering services and directing the calls to the on-call physician.

High School graduate or equivalent. Dispatch experience preferred.
